How self-managed teams could be used at Sandwich Blitz to allow Dalman more time to devote to growing the business?

Switching each location to a self-managed teams would empower location managers to solve small problems on a day-to-day basis and increase productivity without continuous supervision from Dalman or Lei. With the assignment of managers under Dalman and Lei, the self-managed teams would be better prepare to handle all daily basis activities. This will require that each self-managed teams is trained in order to execute better performance plans and the type of training they can use for their regular duties. Once trained each location self-managed team primary goal will be to function without the daily supervision of Dalman and allow him to operate and address major issues with the company, while Lei can be allow to focus on the financial matters of the company without distractions.

The self-managed teams must be trained on monitoring and implementing the company’s policy so each employee understands what they are supposed to do and know the positives and negatives sides of the company. After each self-managed team has complete their initial training, another way they can help the productivity of the company would be by having members of the team cross trained in all job positions per their locations. By doing so, they will increase the flexibility in their team and this will allow them to deal with personnel shortages and even open opportunities for members to be promote or transfer to assist other locations.
