Acts chapter reflections

1. In Acts chapter 1, one verse 7 to me sticks out the most. This verse tells us basically that we have no control over anything that will happen. We should not try to pretend like we have control over what happens. Nothing is in our hands and it is up to God what happens. Before man was created, God had a plan for every single thing He created. It’s tough sometimes for us to feel like we need to be in control over our life, but we jut need to submit our life to God and carry out His will in our life. This chapter serves as a great reminder that God is in control.

2. Peter speaks to the crowd in chapter 2 of Acts. Peter tells the crowd about all the things that Christ has promised us. It feels amazing to know that this life is meaningless unless we have the Lord. Peter speaks of the things God promises and the things God will do. It is good to be reminded that we are accountable for our actions. No matter if we want it to happen or not, Jesus will judge our lives and us. Peter scared the people and they begin to fear God when he finished speaking about the promises of God. It is great to fear God and we should; but we must also love Him as well.

3. In chapter 3 of Acts, Peter and John are going to pray in the Temple. Peter and John were stopped by a woman who asks them for help with her paralyzed partner on their way to prayer. Peter heals the person by using God’s power through himself. In this chapter, we are reminded as to just how powerful God truly is. God used a normal man, Peter, to perform a miracle. This chapter reminds us that God can do magical things through us. We just have to believe in God and He will use us for His glory.

4. In chapter 4, Peter and John perform a miracle on an older man. The high priest rejects that Peter was appointed to perform the miracle. Jesus appointed His apostles to perform miracle in His name before He went to heaven. We need to learn to not question what our leaders say today and instead...
