In the search for a company with a visible organizational culture, there is no company that can contend with the U.S. Air Force (AF). The AF has one of the most consistent and robust organizational cultures to have ever existed.

The AF’s organizational culture is so entrenched and established that, while the AF has been trying to change it for the last 10 years, it is very resilient to that transformation.

The AF has a philological culture that is unique and, in most cases, is exclusively incomprehensible to those outside the culture without clarification.

This language is often times course, sometimes entertaining, but it is CONSTANTLY distinctive to the AF.

Dream Sheet– A list of the top ten bases, overseas and on the continent that Air Force members can list as their desired next duty stations.

First Shirt – A First Sergeant is the person in an Air Force member's squadron designated by his commander to enhance the morale and discipline of the unit.

GI Party- A collective movement of Air Force members to clean one specific area or building or performance of a specific task.

FUBAR- Fouled Up Beyond All Recognition. Sometimes the "F" is replaced with a less-than polite word beginning with "F".

Off Duty Supervisor or "ODS- Spouse of an AF member.

Stop-Loss- The action the Air Force uses to prevent people from retiring or separating due to manning issues, normally related to a major war.

INTEGRITY, SERVICE BEFORE SELF, and EXCELLANCE IN ALL YOU DO. These are the Core Values of the AIR FORCE and this is how we attempt to exhibit in our everyday lives. Our core values are such a significant part of our culture that any failure to live up to them, at any time, will consequently result in unembellished punitive action.
