Attire of Shakespeare’s Creations

In the William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, there are four worlds in which he manifests his novel; all four full of tremendous characters who eventually come together to create a great collaboration of bewilderment and confusion. The four worlds, The Fairy World, The Court, The Play World, The Lovers World, all work together to create a novel that twists and pulls at the readers mind and heartstrings. Shakespeare uses conversation and malapropisms to distinguish characters in the novel, yet each of their different personalities could be shown even more so through the use of different garments.

In the first world, the fairy world, one character truly stands out as having the most vibrant personality- Titania, Queen of the Fairies. Titania’s long, curly, blond hair would be held back by a sparkling gold crown, to distinguish her from the other fairies. Her top would be a beautiful daisy yellow corset with green accents made of Eucalyptus Tree leaves. Her skirt would be made of large palm leaves that overlap, creating a light, flowery sarong. Adorning her feet, would be a pair of mustard yellow flats festooned with small Jasmine buds. Her grand wings would allow her to flutter about, to visit all of her subjects when she pleased. She truly is the most majestic of all of the fairies.

In the second world, the lover world, all of the men lust for the dazzling, Athenian girl- Hermia. Hermia’s golden-brown hair would complimented by the alluring green wreath in her hair. She would be clothed in an opal-colored toga, with wine-colored purple accents. The toga’s shawl would be the same urchin-purple color. Her tanned arms would be flattered by a stunning violet wrap-around bracelet. Her dainty feet would be adorned with lilac colored gladiator sandals that would wrap around her thin legs up until just below her knees.
