1. Describe your ideal study environment.

My ideal study environment consist of a very quiet room with absolutely no distractions. I believe it’s very crucial to have absolutely no distractions especially when I am trying to concentrate or focus on something. I am distracted very easily and find it very difficult to regain my train of thought when distracted.

2. List some of the distractions that might hinder your study progress or your performance in an online classroom.

Some people doing online courses might find distractions if they get bored by surfing the internet. This use to be a great distraction for myself. Recently I have created me a separate user name on my computer so when I am engaged in doing my daily assignments for school everything is blocked besides my University of Phoenix website.

3. What actions can you take to manage and eliminate distractions?

As mentioned in question number two I have set myself up a different account for school purposes only. Aside from surfing the internet I also have other distractions especially on the weekend when my children are present. I have set my office off to a separate room of the house and everyone knows if the door is shut then it’s my study time.

4. How will you apply your personal learning style? How does your personal Learning style affect your study habits?

I have began taking steps to apply my personal learning style. I have learn I can have absolutely no distractions. Distractions seem to be my main problem with procrastination.
