Students - to grade the first and all written assignments, I use the appropriate grading rubric (these rubrics are posted under Doc Sharing). For the unit 9 assignment, you can earn up to 160 points!

The grading rubric for the UNIT 9 FINAL COURSE PROJECT written assignment assigns up to 64 points for correct research results(did you find what you were asked to find per the assignment instructions?). The points awarded range from finding relevant information based on the Collins Fact Pattern from law review articles, government agency websites, cases, statutes, and regulations + did you use the correct Bluebook citation for each source?

The grading rubric for the UNIT 9 FINAL COURSE PROJECT written assignment assigns up to 64 points for analysis. The points awarded range from providing accurate explanations as to why each of the following items of research was relevant to the facts in the Collins Fact Pattern--law review articles, government agency websites, cases, statutes, and regulations.

The rubric assigns up to 8 points for mechanics - mechanics means flawless grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

The rubric assigns up to 8 points for format – means how clear are the organization and structure of the paper?  Is the paper easy to follow? Did you follow the format used throughout this term?

The rubric assigns up to 8 points for style – means is the paper analysis disjointed or is there a logical flow of ideas?

The rubric assigns up to 8 points for language – means is there a variety of sentence length; did the writer write complete sentences; are the words used precise, acceptable, and appropriate or is the language choppy, random, and awkward?
