Exercise 1. Part 1)

How does a class being conducted online instead of on campus increase or decrease the classes' contribution to the carbon cycle during the term? Consider the differences between the two in terms of methods of travel, and use of facilities, energy, and other resources?

A class that is conducted on line instead of on campus will decrease the classes’ contribution to the carbon cycle during the term. If this is the only class that the student and professor has, then at best it will lower the carbon use by each person that has to attended the class, because there is no need to drive to a location. If the class is using e-books, then everything that is needed to finish the class is online, cutting back all paper source materials. This helps in the aid of cutting down trees that we need to give this planet oxygen.
