To pursue an MBA degree and to enter into my new career within the Healthcare system this argument is based on my Jungian16-type of personality and a benefit analysis of the postgraduate MBA program. The paper will examine the benefits of undertaking an MBA program and will include career prospects, opportunities that will be enhanced by the MBA program. The paper will have a conclusion using my personal feelings, and expressions concerning this Healthcare career change.
Due to the continually changing economy that the U.S. workforce has experienced, including the restructuring at my place of employment, I found that I was without a job over a year ago. For the last 10 years my career was in the insurance industry in both commercial and personal lines. For over 30 years prior to the insurance industry I was a manager for large fine jewelry companies and have the skills and knowledge to use. Unfortunately, at this time most insurance companies are not hiring management or administrative staff. I have felt frustrated with processing over 1,200 job applications in both Arizona and California locations with little results to show for my efforts.
While reviewing my job search information I noticed a large selection for Healthcare jobs including administrative and management positions needed in many locations where I live. I attempted to apply to many of the Healthcare positions and replies indicated the need for current employment in Healthcare Administration, a degree in Healthcare Administration, or in the process of obtaining a degree in this field. This is part of the reason that I chose to change my career and to pursue an MBA degree.
