Introduction

What is a portfolio analysis? The Truman Medical Center in Kansas City Missouri and has several different products and services. They are grouped into four categories, which are cash cows, stars, problem children, and dogs.

A portfolio analysis involves quantifying the operational and financial impact. It is very important to look at the performances of the investments and timing of the returns. The portfolio analysis has classes of investments which are bonds, equities, indexes, commodities, funds, options and securities. This is important, because each asset class has odd risk factors and returns.

Truman Medical Center was built in 1870 and is one of the major hospitals in Kansas City Missouri, which is located in downtown Kansas. This hospital was rebuilt into two ethnically separated facilities in the 1920s. In 1957, they are combined together. This hospital became a teaching hospital for the University of Missouri, Kansas City Medical School. The Truman Medical Center services that are offered are trauma, emergency, diabetes, gastroenterologist, cardiovascular center, infectious disease center, obstetrics, asthma, ophthalmology, and women’s health.

Truman Medical Center has a total of 52 beds and is a level one trauma center. The medical staff treats critical care and trauma injuries (trumed.org, 2012). The trauma team has emergency doctors, surgeons, radiology staff and trauma nurses. Truman Medical Center has physicians in neurosurgery and gynecology on standby in case they are needed, as well as nurses in the operating room and critical care (trumed.org, 2012).

The emergency and trauma departments are known as cash cows.
