With the company Envision Solar as the basis for Team C’s research question, we will define the data collection process and how it will be implemented. The data collection process will be implemented within three phases, which includes an online-based survey. Potential sample validity concerns will be identified and addressed. Implementing the data collection process should provide Envision Solar with the data needed to increase public awareness. Team C will provide the necessary steps for Envision Solar to conduct a successful data collection process.

Data Collection Process

Envision Solar is a revolutionary company introducing advanced, high quality solar energy to the market. Their Solar Trees provide an environmental-friendly option for energy use and substantial savings. Unfortunately, a lack of public awareness impedes the company’s role as the industry leader. Examining the results of the comprehensive data and statistical analysis reveals a critical need to determine the public’s awareness level of the company and its products. Envision Solar decides to implement the data collection process in three phases.

• Phase 1: Creating and launching multiples surveys reveal the level of public awareness for Envision Solar.

• Phase 2: Consists of stratified random samples enabling the accumulation of information from trade show participants enabling the separation of the population into mutually exclusive sets (trade show clients looking into solar energy specific products).

• Phase 3: Sampling occurs with current stakeholders. The complexity of this phase requires a consecutive launch of each marketing strategy.
