Every project management life cycle contains five steps: Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring/Control and Closure. Project Management Life Cycle help in narrowing the project's focus, keeping its objectives in order and finishing the project on time, on budget and with a minimum of headaches (Method 123)

Organization is a key talent for a project manager to have. There are many different areas that the PM has to keep their eye on to make sure that the project stays within the given budget and time. While there may be issues within the project, having a contingency plan in place to deal with issues so that the project can stay on track is very important also.

The organization must develop a reasonable project management curriculum to provide the appropriate training and education in support of the tools, as well as the expected organizational behavior. (Kerzner, H. (2001)).

Having the proper individuals with the proper training and experience in place within a project can make the difference in the issues that are dealt with throughout the project. You would not want someone with no computer experience to be on the IT team. This can cause more problems to fix than there were to start off with.

I worked for a company that used the SAP system for all of their materials to be managed. The project was given to me to clean the system of all materials that were no longer used and materials that were created by mistake. While this can sound like a small project, there were over 30,000 materials located in 43 different plant locations.

To begin with I divided up the plants into categories of similarity based upon the project that was produced at that location. I then got in touch with the plant managers of the locations to start projects within the locations of the plant manager and materials managers going through...
