EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This Assignment is based on a financial Analysis of the selected company ‘John Keels Ltd’. As per the assignment, the financial statements of three preceding years of this company were taken into consideration for scrutiny. Upon this, a financial ratio analysis was conducted.
This report describes the financial ratio analysis conducted for the years 2009,2010 and 2011, going further to comment on the ratios calculated, along with recommendations for improvement.

John Keells Holdings (JKH), commenced business as a produce and exchange broker in the early 1870s. Ever since it has grown to become Sri Lanka’s premier listed conglomerate, housing diverse businesses in the food & beverage, leisure, transportation, infrastructure, plantations, information technology and financial services sectors. JKH was the only Sri Lankan Company to have been selected amongst the world’s best 200 small companies by Forbes Global magazine, in 2001. JKH was also assigned a SL AA+ credit rating from Fitch Ratings Lanka.
