The way this course has made me a stronger candidate to enter the business world is by all the different things it taught me. Even though this course was a little difficult for me, it had so much information that I found very useful. I learned so many key concepts that I would not have imagined would have been in this course. One of the key concepts that I learned was the yield curve, which is a graph showing the relationship between yields and maturities of securities on a particular date. This course also had a lot of topics; one important topic was the time value of money and analyzing financial statements, which deals with the financial reports. Learning about the key concepts has made me a stronger candidate to when I am ready to enter the business world, because I will feel like I have gained the knowledge that I need to be successful in the business world.

The way this course has affected me in my professional development as a student and as a person is by teaching me the concepts dealing with finance. It has also taught me that a career in finance take a lot of time and patience. At one time I thought about finance, but now I know that I am not ready to be in finance. I feel like I need a little more practice in it before I will feel like I am ready to go down that path. Looking at each week and how difficult this course was for me has made me a stronger person academically. I could have given up and dropped the class or not have pushed myself, but instead I gave it my all. This course was very encouraging to me on my academic path, because it taught me that not all courses are going to be easy but you have to finish it and do your best. I had some difficulties time in this class but as a person I learned to work hard and never give up.
