Gay Marriage

One of the essential inquiries at the core of the debate in regards to gay marriage is, quite merely, what’s the point? Aside from certain material and legal issues which other laws, could in theory, solve, what point is attempting to be made by gays attempting to get married? Why is it so imperative to be capable of holding a marriage certificate and saying “we’re married” as a replacement for of simply saying “we’re a couple, deal with it!” In the recent years many have come to believe that the acceptance of gay marriage (legally or socially recognized marriage between two persons of the same biological sex or social gender) in addition to traditional marriage would be best, while there are others (like me) that believe that marriage is as it should be “between man and woman”. Numerous people consider the media to be mainly to blame for the attention shown to the scheme of same-sex marriages, but ultimately there are actually only two sides; people who support it and people who are in opposition to it. The most widespread argument against gay marriages is that allowing people to do so would undermine the institution of marriage and with this argument “I totally agree.”

What is marriage? In Gen. 2:18, 21-24 The Lord God said, 'It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him'...and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. The man said, 'This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman,' for she was taken out of man.' For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.

From a legal standpoint marriage is the oldest equal-rights tradition legitimately recognized in law. By needing a man as well as woman for every union, marriage...
