Abstract
Rewards are categorized into two, extrinsic rewards and intrinsic rewards. If an individual gets motivated by extrinsic rewards, it is called extrinsic motivation. In contrast, if they are motivated by intrinsic rewards, it is called intrinsic motivation. This study seeks to analyze on which rewards Malaya Acid Works Sdn Bhd employees prefer and what rewards that will keep them motivated. Data are taken from 50 employees through a self-made questionnaire. The results from the data are calculated by using percentage analysis. Based on the results, employees preferred intrinsic rewards and at the same time it is also the rewards that will keep them motivated. Hence, employees are said to be intrinsic motivated.

The business environment in today’s world fills with competition. Competition started way back into the years when human start to trade. Competition is important because it could keep the price of the products low and organizations will keep on improving because there are other people out there selling the same product.
