Subject: EnviroTech Merger
With the merger between InterClean and EnviroTech developing and all the changes that will be taking place I felt it was important to address how important our position as managers will be. Over the next four months, we will be working together to merge 60 EnviroTech sales staffers and operations specialists into the InterClean family.
As managers of InterClean it is your responsibility to maintain a positive attitude. We all need to remember the impact our behavior can have on the productivity of InterClean’s workers, as well as the impact it will have on integrating new employees into the InterClean family. We also need to make sure we are inline with all employment laws. If we are not we need to make the necessary changes so that we are. Finally we need to find what will be the best practice for working within a diverse work environment. Remember we are the ones our employees look up to.
Anytime a company goes through change especially of this magnitude the rumors are going to start. It has been brought to my attention that quite a few negative rumors have been circulating regarding layoffs and cuts in the sales departments. As managers of these departments it is our responsibility to assure our team members, and remind them that the sales departments will remain intact after the merger and no one will be let go.
As I said before managers of InterClean are responsible for maintaining a positive attitude. As first level managers of the sales department your behavior will greatly impact the production of our current employees and the organizational structure perceived by new hires.
