I will be addressing the area of learning animal shapes and colors in a Kindergarten classroom. During this activity the students will come to understand that animal’s come in various colors and shapes, to describe the purposes of color in the animal world and to use various colors and shapes to create pictures of animals.

To make this a productive assignment you will need to adhere to the following procedures:

• Show how animals have different shapes and then ask the students what they seen. What body part of most animals is circular? What animals have triangles?

• Discuss with the students' and determine what is their favorite animal. Ask them what colors can be found on their favorite animal? Discuss with the class why animals are different and what makes them important. Why are the feathers colorful on birds? How do animals use color to stay hidden?

• Share pictures of animals with the class. Talk about the different colors and...
