Current Market Conditions Competitive Analysis

In order for our company to become more competitive in the market, we must expand our horizons. To accomplish this task we have decided to produce a tablet. This tablet will compete with many others on the market, especially the Apple tablet called the iPad. Our model will be more user friendly than the iPad. As we set out to achieve our goals, we must get to know our competition very well. We will learn about their history and some of the products that they offer. Our company will produce the best tablet on the market because we know the competition and we know what the customers want.

Initially known as Apple Computer Inc., Apple Inc. has maintained being the world’s second-largest information technology company since being founded on April 1, 1976. This global conglomerate designs, sells, and develops personal computers, computer software’s, and various electronic devices. According to wikipedia.com, “Apple co-founder Steve Jobs said in a 1983 speech that Apple's, strategy is really simple. What we want to do is we want to put an incredibly great computer in a book that you can carry around with you and learn how to use in 20 minutes… And we really want to do it with a radio link in it so you don’t have to hook up to anything and you’re in communication with all of these larger databases and other computers” (Apple, 2013). 

One device of personal interest would be the iPad tablet computer, which has been on the market since 2010. This multi-touch screen that includes a virtual keyboard has built in GPS navigation, Wi-Fi capabilities, cellular connectivity, shoots videos, plays games and music, takes photos, and performs multiple internet and web browser functions, such as email and social networking.
