When I lived in my country, I used to watch many meaningful comedies that reflect about vices in society. Comedy is type of funny play that makes audiences laugh but they have to think about it after that. And then I moved to the USA, I had opportunity to see foreign comedy named “Fawlty Towers”. Fawlty Towers is a British comedy written by John Cleese. The series is set in Fawlty Towers, a fictional hotel in the seaside town of Torquay. Show is played by four main characters: manager Basil Fawlty, his bossy wife Sybil, reception Polly and Spanish waiter Manuel. Four of them were trying to run the hotel better.

The part I watched happening when Sybil was planning to decorate her hotel. At that day, Basil and his wife would go somewhere with their friends overnight. Before leaving, they made appointment with constructors to fix something in her hotel without direction. Basil detailed what needed to do with Polly and asked her to tell to builders. Suddenly she was sleepy, and she asked Manuel, who doesn’t know any English, to look after hotel for her to sleep. She told him to wake her up whenever builders came. This was opportunity for him to become a temporary boss. It was so funny when he spoke with deliverer. Deliverer got mad at Manuel because Manuel didn’t understand anything deliverer said. If Manuel was a boss in real, hotel would run out soon. After that, he had to face with another problem, which caused an extremely serious result. When the builders came, he didn’t wake Polly up. He talked to builders without understanding and he made them get mad again. Finally, builders did their job without any direction and result was they installed wrong doors and wrong places. And the day after, Polly didn’t wake up until Basil came back. He was very surprised by changes in his hotel and he disturbed whole hotel. He was so angry when he knew who caused this.
