Week One DQ Two Due Friday

The reason that some health care organizations are slower in transferring medical information over to IT because some health care information and language are different from regular information of other organization (Wager, Lee, & Glaser, 2009).  Some health care organization offices are small, and it would take time, training, and money to transferring medical information to IT.  The clinics I go too just add electronic record keeping about two years. The major reason for some health care organizations is not using IT as much as other industries are the cost of transferring information over. The trend for the future of IT may show health care organization facilities will have electronic medical records only for the patient’s information. The small health care facilities in small towns may have more difficult into making all health care medical records electronic because of the cost. The Internet is the big trend for accessing medical information faster and easier for health care professional. The health care professional can have access to medical information faster to help provide treatment. “Current trends to watch in social media in health care include: Managing a conversation; Engaging e-patients; Convergence with personal health records; and Social media for providers” (Sharp, 1) Physicians use social media to keep up with new information, treatment, and they also continue to educate. Most people are using the Internet to file their medical information and making appointment to see the provider.
