COURSE TITLE: PRINCIPLES OF ECONOMICS WITH AGRARIAN REFORM AND TAXATION
COURSE CREDIT: THREE UNITS
COURSE REQUIREMENT: NONE
COURSE DESCRIPTION: It includes basic economic principles, economic institutions, and the national economy in developmental setting. It also includes the basic concepts on general taxation.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the course the student should be able to:
1. Identify and explain economic principles and concepts in the light of current domestic and international economic conditions.
2. Analyze critical economic problems confronting the global market especially those of the Philippines and be able to propose to these problems.
3. Compare and contrast basic economic principles and concepts in relation to prevailing domestic and international economic condition.
4. Have a holistic understanding of government policies and programs on the basic concept of taxation.
5. Compute mathematically hypothetical problems on economic and taxation using problem-solving techniques.
