“In 1991, Dr. Riordan started Riordan Plastics, Inc. Initially, the company’s focus was on research and development and the licensing of its existing patents, but in 1992 Dr Riordan obtained venture capital which he is used to purchase a fan manufacturing plan in Pontiac MI. In 1993 the company expanded into the production of plastic beverages containers when it acquired a manufacturing plant in Albany, GA” (University of Phoenix, 2006). In 2000, the company expanded the fan manufacturing division into China.
The history in which the company started has significance in where the company is going. To continue the growth, a plan to maintain regulations, policies and procedures are being inducted. A well executed Corporate Compliance plan is the difference between success and failure.
Every level within the corporation is expected to adhere to this plan. Management carries the responsibility of displaying good character legally and ethically, leading, and abiding by this plan.
