Abstract

This report will provide a detailed explanation on how developing professional knowledge and abilities will impact my career success. It provides details about the organization or association that’s in a field that interest me, along with a brief description of the organization.

In conducting a research of an organization or association, I found an organization that provides help with at-risk students. At-risk students are abundant in today’s society. These students are a challenge that all teachers will in time end up facing. For students that are going for a teaching degree, they will need to have the skill that will prepare them for teaching at-risk students do to having lack of knowledge can have a negative result on their career success. The Youth at Risk NYC organization is “committed to transforming the chaotic lives of young people through persistent and compassionate mentoring” (Youth at Risk NYC, nd). This organization can help me with my professional knowledge and abilities, along with the knowledge and values gained can improve my career success by not only getting m prepared for dealing with at-risk students but also with at-risk individuals as well for being a school tutor.

The Youth at-Risk organization gives young individuals with a positive chance that will allow them to be successful in life. This organization based in New York City, is a non-profit organization that provides both anticipation and involvement for the youth of New York City. They provide help for individuals who show poorly adapted behaviors, such as truancy, violence, gang members, etc. The organization has several programs that provide the youth with help such as, affluent youth, fatherhood, new future program, staff and teachers, pathway, and warriors’ way (Youth at Risk NYC, nd).

I believe this organization can help me as a student tutor for the reason that it can supply m with the capabilities and knowledge that is needed...
