This research paper focuses on an entrepreneur, Betty, who intends to start a coffee business and is considering various options for inception and development. Betty choices, both legal and spiritual, depend on the various factors. The various parties involved include, her husband, her sister and the neighbor who are all beneficial. However, she has to consider making the right decision, which involves choosing who to work with.

The sorting can be done by examining each one of them in their strengths and weaknesses. When selecting business partners, it is always vital to consider their abilities, interests, and the value that they can bring into your business (Hoskisson, 2011). An upcoming business will need the right skills and good value in order to set off successfully (Schermerhorn, 2009). First, there is her husband, John. He is ready to provide the capital but his involvement in operations is absent. On the positive side, Betty has an open supply of funds and better still, it is not a loan. John would be acting as a partner in the business. On the limitations, if John is not involved in operations, in case of fraud or embezzlement, he would not be aware.

Her sister, Alice, is the next party. Her idea of assisting in the running of the business is noble. Her reason however of doing it to get out of the house is not really a good mindset for a newly started business. Another setback is that her husband is not in agreement. This will cause problems for the business. As a Christian, Betty should think of how choosing her sister will affect the family being that her sister will be going against her husbands wishes. She will also be on the losing end, in the long run, since Alice may not have much actual interest in the business. She is only using this opportunity as an excuse for leaving the house.
