Supply chains are concerned with the efficient integration of suppliers, factories, warehouses and stores so that products are distributed to customers in the right quantity and at the right time. One of the primary objectives of SCM is to minimize the total supply chain cost subject to various service requirements. This course is suitable for students planning to go into IT consulting or manufacturing firms. In addition, this course will teach the students the basic concepts and implementation of SCM by illustrating the complexity of collaborative planning in a supply chain.
