Diversity is about learning from others who are not the same, about dignity and respect for all, and about creating workplace environments and practices that encourage learning from others and capture the advantage of diverse perspectives (Woods, 2001). If all corporations were to learn what it means and takes to create a stable work environment then they would all be flourishing, but unfortunately not all companies have it together. Diversity has come a long way since the start of time and it will continue to expand and have its corks that need to be worked out, with an open minded view and outlook on all that is possible then just maybe we could all have a chance at thriving to our fullest. “A diverse workforce is a reflection of a changing world and marketplace. Diverse work teams bring high value to organizations. Respecting individual differences will benefit the workplace by creating a competitive edge and increasing work productivity. Diversity management benefits associates by creating a fair and safe environment where everyone has access to opportunities and challenges. Management tools in a diverse workforce should be used to educate everyone about diversity and its issues, including laws and regulations. Most workplaces are made up of diverse cultures, so organizations need to learn how to adapt to be successful. (Green, 2002)”

In today's society, cultural diversity is at the highest point it has ever been.
