Six Dimensions of Health Worksheet

Part 1

For each of the following six dimensions of health, list at least one characteristic, activity, belief, or attitude that reflects that dimension in your life. Provide a brief explanation with each example. Refer to Ch. 1 in the text for explanations of these dimensions.

Physical health: I believe that my physical health comes from my education on dieting and exercise, my motivation, and desire to be health. I will say that I believe my appearance is hereditary. I have grown to look identical to my mother. I am shock to see this being as though we are complete opposite as far as dieting and fitness goes. I believe some things are genetically predetermined regardless of what physical attributes you take on.

Social health: As far as my social health, I feel as though it was strongly impacted by my environment. I grew up in such as versatile lifestyle. Having learned about a variety of cultures, and experiencing the cultures, lifestyles, and people, it has helped my ability to interact with everyone, build rapports, and readily adapt to any social circumstance. Intellectual health: My intellectual health is at its best or worst base on my mental health. In times when my self-esteem, relationship, and etc. are not in it best place, it can reflect within my intellectual health. When those things are going great them positively impact my intellectual health. There was a point in time where my relationship wasn’t at a good point, and it interfered with my thinking, ability to complete task, comprehension, and perception of things at work. I would either misperceive or over analyze almost everything. I would converse with people as I normally would as opposed to being in good intellectual health.
