Jesus Reflection Essay

Jesus’ life was one of many miracles from his birth to him dying on the cross for our sins and being resurrected. Jesus returned from the dead to teach us of God and the many blessing that are waiting for us if we follow him and believe in him. In this paper I will address some of these different topics and how they affect us in our everyday life.

In Jesus’ teachings he said “ “Judge not, that ye be not judged for with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.” (Matthew 5:1-2 King James Version). To me this means that we should not judge people for if we do we will be judged with the same judgment by God that we gave them. This particular teaching has impacted my life because it has taught me that we should not judge people because everyone has a story and until we know that story we should not jump to conclusion on why they are in the situations that they are in. Judgment is seen all over in today’s society people judge people by what others say. Some people may see a homeless guy and automatically their judgment is he’s homeless because he’s lazy or he’s on drugs we should not jump to these stereotypical judgments because without speaking to this homeless man and knowing his true story we ultimately do not know why he is homeless.

The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is very important to the teachings because it lets us know that he is a very powerful God and he is kind and forgiving. It shows us that he loved us so much that he selflessly gave his own life to wash away our sins so that we may have a chance at a good life. In the book of Luke it talks about how they did not believe Jesus when he was brought to Pilate and how they wanted him crucified and” Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.” (Luke 23:24...
