Riordan Manufacturing is a Fortune 1000 global company that employs 550 people with annual earning of $46 million. With operations in Georgia, Michigan, China, and their corporate headquarters in San Jose. Riordan is an industry leader in using polymer materials that manufacture custom plastic parts. With their mission to remain the industry leader they focus on Six Sigma, leading edge Research and Development (R&D) and exceed standards that define the attitude and abilities of Riordan Manufacturing. In order for Riordan to remain leaders and maintain long-term relationships it is imperative that they implement business processes that maintain rigorous quality controls, innovative solutions, and a responsive business attitude. Currently Riodran Manufacturing does not have an integrated system that brings the sites together. Developing and creating technological processes and services would not only improve operations but also allow Riordan to continue to maintain reasonable profitability.

The human resources department headquartered in the San Jose corporate office. The HR department displays one of the main operational functions within the corporate office. Riordan want o take advantage of a more sophisticated state-of-art, information systems technology in the human resources department. To create a detailed system design and a project implementation plan, employing the method applied to analyze and design the new HR system will be the systems development life cycle (SDLC).
