Analysis of Team Charter

Working in a team can have its advantages and disadvantages. Preparing a team charter is a document that is geared towards finding out a little about your team’s strengths and weaknesses are and what expectations they have from members on the team. From the paper below I will discuss how our team charter will help us to improve our performance based on our individual differences.

In the team I have been assigned to we all have different personalities, my personality is ESTP: Outgoing, live for the moment, unconventional and spontaneous, possible careers as a stockbroker, insurance or car sales person, bartender, sports coach, entertainment promoter. The second member on my team has a personality of ISTJ: organized, compulsive, private, trustworthy, and practical. Possible career as an office manager, accountant, business manager, tax agent and public servant. The final person on my team has a personality of ESFJ: Gracious, have good interpersonal skills and am eager to please. Possible career as a social worker, optometrist, childcare worker or a nun. Very often our personality reflects the way we think. From analyzing that we are different in personality and our career goals are some what different from each other, we must use the charter to help find where our qualities lie. From reviewing the team charter I can see that we all have an open personality meaning we are willing to work with others which is what team work is all about. We also seem to understand assigned deadlines are important and if not met can affect each of our performances.

From the self assessment of listening skills we all seem to be good listeners our scores ranged from 47-49. From discussing with my team we are all willing to hear what each other has to says and willing to provide feedback where necessary.
