Martin Luther King Jr. is an inspiration to me, because he is an African-American hero. He paved the way for the freedom African-Americans have today. MLK Jr. showed the world that you can fight, not violently, but peacefully, and still win.

One huge deterrent was the prejudice in American social order: when Martin Luther King was acting like an adult, much of America was still isolated and chances for dark individuals were extremely constrained. An alternate issue later on was that he had trouble persuading his supporters to carry out to the course of non-viciousness; some of his adherents were extremely disillusioned and furious about the separation they continued, and he needed to induce them that persistence and non-roughness might get the best effects and carry positive social change.

Dr. King battled against partiality by making the entire country attentive to its presence and by keeping that mindfulness vivified. His methods were inactive safety, that is, gently exhibits of the shameful acts sustained on individuals of African drop. The unimaginable purpose of this was that the precise individuals who propagated the shameful acts highlighted them by doing savagery to the demonstrators.

While a college student in 1947, Martin Luther King also wrote a column in the campus newspaper and titled it “The Purpose of Education.”

Education must enable one to sift and weigh evidence, to discern the true from the false, the real from the unreal, and the facts from the fiction.

The function of education, therefore, is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. But education which stops with efficiency may prove the greatest menace to society….

The complete education gives one not only power of concentration, but worthy objectives upon which to concentrate. The broad education will, therefore, transmit to one not only the accumulated knowledge of the race but also the accumulated experience of social living.
