Necessity of Education

It is a universal truth that education is the backbone of a nation. Education is the process that develops our mind. It is a mental and intellectual training. An educated nation can take the country to the highest peak of development. It is needed to provide opportunities of growth and to overcome obstacle to progress. Education is compared to light which removes the darkness of ignorance. Education can bring spiritual enlightenment. It ennobles the soul. The education is to make a man a citizen physically, mentally, morally and prepare him for a profession whereby he could earn his own livelihood and contribute to the society. Student life is the best time to educate oneself properly. Education helps a man keep pace with the people around the world. A person comes out of the narrowness of mind. He can perform a task in the right manner. So education is a pre-condition of building up a nation. Therefore, education is essential for every human being. Each and everyone has to realize the truth.

Mass Education

Education is the reflection of our character. It beautifies and glorifies the nation. On the contrary, illiteracy is a curse. Inability to read or write is said to be illiteracy. Indeed illiteracy is one of the most serious problem of our country. Actually a country can make no progress until its people become literate. It makes all development efforts impossible. It is really a difficult task to eradicate illiteracy from a country like Bangladesh which has a vast population. But it is our social responsibility of every literate person to try heart and soul in order to remove illiteracy from the society. Students, teachers, youngmen women and all other responsible person can offer their voluntary services to teach the illiterate people.
