* Rain is pouring on the background scene, big emphasis on rain

* “I just don’t understand”

* The story is well known to even the poor people of Japan. The time period is where disaster has befallen upon Japan.

* The story is following a storyteller’s point of view

* The background lies waste to all human-made post apocalyptic era.

* Picture always zooms in on the person telling the story.

* Tajomaru is very crazy

* Music plays a big role in the silent scenes

* Tajomaru blames it on the wind

* He is a slouch.

* He tries to provoke the guy’s presence

* Tajomaru tries to feed into the guy’s weakness to greed

* Tajomaru can be compared to a wild beast wheras the girl is innocent and pure

* The woman becomes tainted by his corrupt nature

* Woman is a good woman trying to kill Tajomaru

* Wanting to protect her husband

* Tajomaru enjoys fighting with the woman like as if she is his prey

* The man can think of nothing but shame

* Camera is shown as womans vision to the sun as she is kissed by Tajomaru, she drops the knife at that point. She even grasps Tajomaru

* It is assumed that they had sex

* She becomes the bad woman by saying that either her husband or Tajomaru has to die

* Tajomaru gives the samurai his sword, but the his hand is still tied with having no time to untie his other hand, clearly not a fair fight

* Samurai gets trapped in the groves, is tied to the groves

* The woman left after seeing the two people fight

* Tajomaru originally liked her for her fighting spirit

* But because she turned out to be like “other women”

* But the woman actually showed up to the courthouse, tells her side of the story

* Woman cries at the courthouse, appears to be docile

* Says that Tajomaru bound her husband and mocked him

* Feels bad about her husband

* The more he struggled , the tighter the ropes had strung onto his skin
