Professional ethics and personal ethics affect a person’s everyday lives, a person can make decisions that can make or break a company. Professional ethics coincide with personal ethics when in a business, if person decides to steal from the company he has made the choice to do wrong and that can overlap into his personal life. Another example is if the boss asks a person do something morally wrong, this would come into play with her personal beliefs.

When a company goes into the decision making process, they use the companies professional values and ethics guide, some companies call these their core values. Core values include the business’ values, code of ethics, and the mission statement for the company. The core values within a business will set the quality of how the business will manage the way the company is run, how employees will work together, and how the company with customers. In today’s world, there are more people looking for jobs that have a moral code close to their own (Society for Human Resource management, 2009).
