I also have been able to develop my communication skills through different jobs I have had since I moved to the USA; starting as a dishwasher and not knowing English at all and becoming a Shift Manager at MacDonald’s Restaurant at the age of 18. Then, tutoring my classmates in different Math and Engineering classes helped me understand more and more of the basis of engineering, and. Thanks to my father; I was able to witness how technology had influences in the development of the Mining Industry in Peru. All of these experiences have helped me open my eyes to the engineering field. I believe engineering is not solely about looking at how to make things work; it is about applying the concepts, understanding the operation, and knowing how different factors influence the modern engineering.
