Shankar also had an impact and influence on music, which had led to the intersection of rock, jazz, and world music.

6. ~Taylor Swift- “We Are Never Getting Back Together”

I personally did not like this performance. Although it was one of the extravagant performances of the night, I felt that it was simply too much. The circus theme Taylor had was weird and had nothing to do with her song. I just feel that her performance might have been nice for another award show but not for the Grammys.

~Rihanna and Mikky Echo-“Stay”

I surprisingly love this performance. It was simple but I felt that people were able to see Rihanna in a different light. Instead of focusing in her outfit, or dances, we actually heard her sing for a change. Her performance showed emotion and really made it easier for you to connect with her on a personally level.

~Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z-“Suit and Tie”

This was a performance that I definitely enjoyed. Prior to seeing the Grammys, I heard the song “Suit and Tie” and immediately fell in love with it. Thus, seeing the song performed was very exciting. I love the way the entire aspect of the performance. From the outfits, to the choreography, to JT’s singing, and Jay-Z’s rap, I thought it was a good way for Justin Timberlake to make his return to the music world.
