The definition of plastic surgery is the specialty concerned with the correction or restoration; it includes types like reconstructive surgery, which is performed to fix or correct injuries caused by accidents. There’s also hand surgery and the famous and useful cosmetic surgery.

Cosmetic surgery is the improvement or enhancement of one’s appearance. There are many types of cosmetic surgery out there and you have to be really careful when you decide to get one of these procedures done, research is a must and checking credentials and valid references should be in your mind at all the time when you are thinking about cosmetic/ plastic surgery. The following are the most popular cosmetic surgeries and definitions:

Rhinoplasty: It’s the reshape of the nose, this type of performed to enhance the looks of the nose but it can also be used to fix breathing problems and birth defects.

Otoplasty: it’s the reconstruction of deformed or damaged ears; this procedure is one of the few that can be performed at an early age in order to correct the problem.

Abdominoplasty: it’s often called a tummy tuck, this procedure removes the excess of skin and fat from the abdomen, the results may vary from a flatter belly to exposure of your abdominal muscles. The dark side of this procedure is the hip to hip scar that the patient will have after the surgery.

Breast surgeries: In this kind of surgery we have three types of procedures.

• Breast augmentation which increases the size and appearance of the breasts

• Breast lift which is used by women after pregnancy because this procedure will reshape and lift the fallen breast after women has children.

• Breast reduction mainly used by women with large breast, this surgery reduces the size of a woman breast and alleviates the back pain caused by the size of the breast.
