According to the Declining Fish Stock the primary problem is the action of over fishing. Although the primary reason for overfishing is the high demand for food. Being that fish has such a high supply and demand rate the fishers catch an extreme amount of fish at one time and there is not much time for the fish to reproduce. Therefore the fish eventual become endangered or even extinct. At this point the greatest impact that we as humans have on the ocean is not the GO GREEN epic but it is overfishing.

According to The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), there is an estimate that over 70 percent of the world’s fish species has been either fully exploited or depleted. This has been caused primarily by unsustainable fishing techniques and the amount of fishing that has been one. At current rates, which are four times higher than they were 40 years ago, oceans are cleared twice as fast as forests. According the UNEP, in 2002, 72 percent of the world’s marine fish stocks were being harvested faster than the fish stock could reproduces. Therefore, the population of the fish alternatively becomes decrease in high volumes. At the rate that we are going with overfishing will eventually find ourselves without the resource of fish.

I believe that in order to preserve the current resources that we have we must take corrective actions and become proactive. I believe that we must show the major problem that has occurred with the massive amount of fishing that has been done over a course of time and the results that the fishing has caused. I believe that the corrective actions and the proactive response will in due time become effective.

To offset the effects overfishing I have concluded the Preserve Our Resources Action Plan. The Preserve Our Resources Action Plan is a plan the will become a benefit to both the environment and the fishermen. I propose that...
