1) What are the parts of an atom? Where are the subatomic particles found?

The three basic parts of the atom are protons, neutrons, and electrons. Electrons are smaller than the protons and neutrons, but are more present in the nucleus. Electrons have a negative charge, while protons have a positive charge. The number of protons defines the atom itself. Neutrons have no charge because they are neutral. Neutrons keep the protons in balance because they hold them together inside the nucleus. The electrons are found in the electron cloud, while the protons and neutrons are located in the nucleus.

2) How does the Atomic Mass # differ from the Atomic #?

The atomic mass is also known as the atomic weight. The atomic mass is a weighted average mass of an atom. Each element has an atomic number; the atomic number equals the charge on the nucleus. Therefore it also is equivalent to the number of protons and neutrons in the nucleus.

3) What is an isotope? Give an example (show how it is an isotope).

An isotope is an atom with the same number of protons, but differing numbers of neutrons. Isotopes are different forms of a single element. You can tell if an atom is the isotope by the atomic number. Like C12 is different from C14. The C14 would be the isotope.  To show more how this is an isotope you need to look closely at the numbers attached to the atom. C12 and C14 have the same number of protons (6 protons each). However, C12 has 6 neutrons as well, but C14 has 8 neutrons.

4) Compare and contrast the 3 basic types of chemical bonds and give an example of each.

Three types of bonds would be ionic, covalent, and hydrogen. Ionic bonds are formed between a metal and a non metal, and have high electro negativity. (KCL) Covalent bonds are sharing pairs of electron between atoms. (N2) Hydrogen bonds are not really a bond, more like attractions forces...
