INTRODUCTION OF THE SUBJECT :
Addiction is very common in all strata of society and is becoming a serious issue in Indian scenario. Due to globalization and westernization, world is coming closer and along with the exchange of products, the culture and customs are also started exchanging.
Liberalization is the word which is being taken without responsibility. It has become more materialistic and wanting all sorts of luxuries at the cost of anything.
Discomfort, anxiety is another issue which is seen very commonly among all strata of society. Coping with all these issues is difficult and stress level is very high. To release the stress, people are turning towards alcohol or any other addictive drugs or substances.
World Health Organisation and American Medical Association have declared addiction as a disease. Out of 100 people using chemical substance, 10 to 12 become addict. There are multiple reasons why people drink? One can not conclude with one dimension.
Addiction among men is very common and non-acceptably accepted by society, but addiction in female is non acceptable thing by society.
