PURSUING AN M.B.A. DEGREE 2

Abstract

This paper explores the Jungian Personality Self –Assessment and its correlation to my characteristics and their influences on my daily life decisions, including that of the decision of pursuing an MBA at this stage in my life. Jungian abbreviates the assessment type into letters which are more like acronyms. “ENFP” stands for Extraversion, Intuition, Feeling and Perception. The “E” and “P” are closely related as are the “N” and “F”. To make a better point I am going to group them together based on their similarities to one another. For this specific point I am renaming my assessment “EPNF”. With an extrovert I am consistently concerned with my appearance, or my perception to others (EP). It is these characteristics that keep me more detail oriented than most, which in turn lead to a semi obsession to maintain and then exceed the current standard, across the board, from appearance to work ethic. Now the characteristics of the “NF” help me interact well in both social and/or formal settings. I use the “mirror philosophy,” which is a way of reflecting or mirroring the personality that is being given i.e. pleasant to pleasant, rude to rude.
