Ethical Leadership

A leader can be very influential over followers and the fate of an organization. (Yuki, G. (2006)) With so much influence and power the question is how will it be used? Will this influential leader inspire those followers to become better employees? Or will this leader be more concerned with personal advancement and economic gain at the expense of others? Looking at what has recently happened in our own nation, what appears to be the focus of these once successful, influential leaders. Did their desire for personal advancement and financial gain cloud their judgement on doing what was right for the over all company and the employees?

Kudler Fine Foods Commitment

Kudler Fine Foods has a commitment to providing customers with only the finest selection of foods and wines available. These include organic ingredients from local organic farms. The standard of freshness exist to maintain that level of freshness and unsold items are donated to the local homeless shelter or soup kitchens in the areas where Kudler Fine Foods has a store located.

The management and staff understand the value of their customers and Kathy Kudler encourages the employees to interact with the customers. She expects them to achieve this by being friendly and helpful when engaging with a customer.

Kudler Fine Foods also maintains flexibility in their inventory. By stocking a wide variety of cheese, wines, fresh fruit and vegetables customers can satisfy all of their gourmet shopping needs in a single location. If something is not available, customers are encouraged to special order items. Another option available to customers is a catering service and on special days customers can take advantage of sample specials for new products.

With so much going on, Kathy Kudler maintains a personal high level of ethics and she expects the same from her management and staff. She has no problem firing someone who is not on board with her program or who is not working out. (Kudler...
