Caisco stated, “ There are two basic things to keep in mind when thinking about what job analysis is and what it should accomplish. First, as time goes on, everything changes, and so do jobs. This has been recognized only recently; the popular view of a job was a static thing, designed to be consistent although the workers who passed through it were different. Now we know that for a job to produce efficient output, it must change according to the workers who do it. In fact, the nature of jobs might change for three reasons: time, people, and environment context” (Casico, p. 161).

With the merging of InterClean- Enviro Tech and the companies new strategic direction the company will not only be selling cleaning products they will also provide a full –service cleanining solutions for the health care industry. As a mid level sales manager, I will be looking to fill one sales manager position. I will be looking for candidates within the company for this position. After conducting several interviews and meeting with the vice president of sales Jim Martin it’s between two candidates: Tom Gonzalez and Shane Huck. In addition, I will choose five sales representatives to complete this team. The job duties are as followed for the sales manager position:

• Build a solid inside sales/lead generation team that exceeds sales goals.

• Supervise team in accordance with company policies & procedures.

• Evaluate and improve inside sales and train staff.

• Work with HR to determine appropriate staffing levels.

• Report to midlevel manager on sales opportunities, and any potential problems

• Resolve conflict within the team and escalate if necessary.

• Attend conferences to be up-to-date on new products.

Job duties are as followed for outside sales representatives:

• Maintain records of prospective customers.

• Make sales presentations to multiple decision-makers.
