Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Clause

To meet the expectations of University of Phoenix, Course Syllabus (2010) for LAW/531, week one assignments, enforced by Thomas Friedman, Chad Henry developed an “Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Clause, useable by his learning team, to resolve disagreements among learning team members, which is applicable for any of the courses in his program,” (University of Phoenix, 2010, p. 13). In following the instructions in University of Phoenix Course Syllabus (2010), Chad Henry “included one type of ADR in this clause, which provides all the information necessary to define what disputes are subject to this ADR; he also identified all the provisions necessary to enable this ADR to occur,” (University of Phoenix, 2010, p. 13). This clause also “provides all the information necessary for this ADR process to work effectively, leaving no potential questions about the process unanswered,” (University of Phoenix, 2010, p. 13).

ADR Methods

“Several forms of non-judicial dispute resolution have developed in response to the expense and difficulty of bringing a lawsuit. These methods, collectively called alternative dispute resolution, are being used more and more often to resolve contract and commercial disputes. In addition, arbitration is often used to solve Internet and e-commerce disputes.
