Abstract
A global executive should provide leadership and direction to management levels according to business goals, mission, and vision. Global leaders and executives have certain characteristics and skills in order to succeed in the globalized world of business (Gregersen, Morrison, & Black, 1998). Walt E. Disney, creator of Mickey Mouse, is the founding father of The Walt Disney Company. The company is the second largest media conglomerate in the world (Hoover’s, Inc., 2005). Walt Disney possesses the characteristics of a global leader. He demonstrated enthusiasm for the company’s vision. He was also a motivator who empowered and led others to accomplish the goals of the global company.
