In today’s education there is a critical need for school reform. Being that the U.S. is ranking 22nd in the educational arena, I do believe schools should revamp, reform, or even reinvent schools. I believe that schools should inquire and take actions on school reform. They should create procedures that promote change, implement organizational strategies, and involve community agencies to ensure educational success. Schools should create a system that teaches students curriculum that is efficient for inspiring lifelong learners. Therefore, this information is vital for all schools that are motivated to improve student achievement.

School systems have continually followed the same policies and procedures regardless of the result. However, educators do recognize what is needed for success in the classroom, but are not always able to make it happen. Students today require more services than what’s available within the school system. A variety of resources are needed to address all areas of need and although they exist, they are not always easy to access and schools do not work in conjunction with the various agencies that might be an asset to them.

Many schools tend to operate in isolation and do not bridge the gap between community and school. Students are not always able to make connections between daily life and what is taught at school because resources within the community are not operating in conjunction with the educational system. Therefore, ongoing collaboration with community agencies that service our school’s youth and families is needed. Not only do we need to collaborate with community agencies within the district, we need to extend it among other districts.

In education, there is always room for improvement. If we are going to regulate what is taught and how it’s going to be measured, all stakeholders should be involved in the school reform process. It is important that schools create a pathway for cooperative school reform. Everyone should...
