Information technologies have actually been around before my birth in 1985. It is amazing to see the advancements and improvements that have been made since 1985. Even though there have been many advancements and improvements to information technologies, changes will continue to occur on a daily basis to continue the advancement of what already exist.

I can name a few of the Information technologies that were around when I was born. They are, cellular phones, , Internet, E-mail, and Microsoft. Changes in these technologies are happening on a daily basis and it is amazing to look back to see what we had then versus what we have now.

There is no question that cell phones have completely changed the way we live in our world today. The way this process has occurred is by the network of cellular towers. A large number of cells is joined together to form a radio network which establishes what we currently know as a cellular network. Cellular service is provided by a transceiver which is in a fixed location. This would be called a cell site. Another name for this would be a base location. We get radio coverage by cells being joined together. By doing this, service is provided to a large geographic area providing use to many portable devices for communication at any location within the network. As technology has advanced to this stage, allowance for movement from cell to cell during transmission has become a smooth transition.

Over the years, significant changes have been made as to the capabilities within cell phone technology and has improved the ability for communication.
