What is B2B ecommerce? It is basically the exchange of products, services, or information via the internet between businesses rather than businesses and consumers. Ecommerce or electronic commerce is not just on the web, because before the web in the 70’s ecommerce was done thru Electronic Data Interchange through Value Added Networks. Ecommerce can be broken down into four main categories which are “B2B (Business to Business), B2C (Business to Consumer), C2B (Consumer to Business), and C2C (Consumer to Consumer)”.

The leading vendor of the B2B ecommerce negotiation technology which is Andersen Consulting designed the global strategic alliance to help clients substantially reduce the process cost that is associated with Web commerce. Under the new alliance which is Trade Access’s EcommBuilder negotiation capability will be available to business solutions to enterprises, governments, and educational institutions worldwide.
