Migori County democratic devolved government and new constitutional dispensation (MICODEG) is a project jointly implemented in partnership by RAPADO, Rieko Kenya and Kuria district disability network. It is funded by Amkeni Wakenya which is a UNDP led Facility set up to promote democratic governance in Kenya. MICODEG is a project aimed at building active citizenry, deepening democracy and promoting equitable, transparent, inclusive, accountable and result oriented people centered devolved government. The project draws a wealth of diverse knowledge, expertise and synergy from individual member organizations to realize its intended purpose.

Rieko Kenya, RAPADO, and Kuria district disability network is jointly implementing this project dubbed “Migori County democratic devolved government and new constitutional dispensation”. It is funded by Amkeni Wakenya which is an agency of UNDP on governance and democracy in Kenya. It was collaboratively designed to support civil society in Migori County to participate more effectively in democratic governance and reforms through Implementation of the Constitution.

Vision: Strengthened people centered democratic devolved government and reforms that promotes citizens active engagement and participation.

Mission: To strengthen civil society to effectively engage structures of Migori County in the implementation of the new constitution for transparency, gender equity, inclusivity, integrity and accountability.
