Research Question: Are existing laws sufficient to ensure equality of Roma Community in Albania?

In this article Ksera demonstrates that taking proactive measures to support the integration of Roma living in Albania brought together representatives of government, local government, non-governmental organizations and international actors, who throughout the day discussed the issues, challenges and identifying possible solutions. In his words he mentions that the priority of his politics is the inclusion of Roma Community in the social life of all the community in every aspect. He take to the consideration the last convention that parliament approved for the Roma Community. Based on his words in this article I would say that these words are far away from the reality. Even though Mr. Ksera spoke for laws and conventions, no one of them isn’t part of Roma Community and doesn’t protect them or include them in all the fields of the Albanians social life.

Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, its countries participating and the OSCE Presence in Albania consider the situation of the Roma minority a matter of concern for the country.
